Since I managed to already get in one race in 2012, I suppose it’s time to lay out that 2012 race schedule. Almost all of these races will be a bit longer than that 5k on New Years Day. Which means I should probably…train? Nah.
1/1/2012: New Year’s Day 5k (Reston, VA)
**2/18/2012: By George 10k (Washington, DC)
3/4/2012: B&A Trail Half Marathon (Severna Park, MD) (Note: NOT a trail race. It’s on a paved bike trail.)
4/21/2012: TryCharleston Half Iron Distance Triathlon (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
5/20/2012: Columbia Olympic Distance Triathlon (Columbia, MD)
**5/26-27/2012: Jim McDonnell 5k/2 mile/1 mile lake swims (Reston, VA)
6/10/2012: Eagleman Aquavelo (1.2 mile swim-56 mile bike-no run) (Cambridge, MD)
**7/21/2012: Crystal City Twilighter 5k (Arlington, VA)
8/26/2012: Ironman Louisville (Louisville, KY)
**10/21/2012: Detroit Marathon (Detroit, MI)
**Tentative
There's also a 1 mile open water swim clinic the day of the 5k. Why aren't you doing that, too?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are doing an ironman, much less all the rest of that stuff. I'm so excited for you. Can't wait to read about the insane training. Oh wait, I'm supposed to be snarky. Oops.
ReplyDeleteProper race schedules have at least 2-3 events every month. I'm not impressed.
ReplyDeleteDidn't I ask you if you were the closet ironman racer Katie outed, and didn't you say no you weren't doing an ironman, and wasn't that jut a little porky pie? Thought so... ;-)
ReplyDeleteTraining is overrated :)
ReplyDeleteHow the hell did I miss you had a new blog. It all looks good to me!
